Returns window to be extended for 2024 holidays (Amazon and Walmart)

Similar to previous years, Walmart and Amazon are extending the window for their Holiday Returns policy. Items bought between November 1 and December 31, 2024, for Amazon can be returned until January 15, 2025, and items bought between October 1 and December 31 for Walmart can be returned until January 31, 2025, with some exceptions. Walmart US Marketplace extended return window policy 2024:

Official announcement:

To help build customer trust and confidence, you’ve been automatically enrolled into extended return windows for the festive season. Our policy requires that all items* purchased in-store or online from October 1, 2024, through December 31, 2024, will be returnable until January 31, 2025. You do not have to do anything as the return window will be updated automatically. Our Extended Holiday Return Guarantee policy aligns with the industry standard and allows peace of mind for shoppers throughout the holiday season.

*The guarantee applies to all orders except for AppleCare, Walmart protection plans, wireless phones, precious metals, major appliances, and some select luxury and Holiday items.

Amazon US Marketplace extended return window policy 2024:

Official announcement:

Our 2024 Extended Holiday Returns policy requires that items bought between November 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024, can be returned until January 31, 2025, except for Apple brand products, which can be returned until January 15, 2025.

This policy applies to seller-fulfilled, FBA, and Amazon Retail orders.

Although the returns window for orders will be extended, returns eligibility for all orders remains the same.
