I’ve just arrived in Las Vegas for Prosper Show 2025, staying at a hotel conveniently located near the expo. The city is buzzing with activity this week, and I’m gearing up for a series of meetings with partners and sellers, culminating in my speaking engagement on Thursday. Tomorrow, I’ll be picking up my badge and finalizing preparations for the event.
Why I Don’t Gamble in Vegas
I only come to Vegas once a year — and only for conferences. I’m not into gambling, and I don’t think most business owners are either. We deal with calculated risks and like operating in a predictable environment. On the elevator, a guy told me he just lost $14K at the casino. I just nodded and thought, “Yep, that’s why I’m here for conferences only.”
I skipped all the Day 0 stuff at Prosper. Just landed, grabbed dinner, and relaxed in my room. This trip is all about staying sharp — no late nights, no drinks. I’ve got a live presentation on stage Thursday, plus lots of meetings with sellers and partners.
Tomorrow morning: short meditation, quick workout, 18 oz of Starbucks, then heading out to pick up my badge and hit the show.
