India’s biggest conglomerate, Tata Group, launched an e-commerce website (Tatacliq.com) listing apparel, footwear, electronics, and jewelry from in-house as well as external domestic and global brands.
This new e-commerce venture follows a curated marketplace model, but unlike other online marketplaces where sellers are free to sell any products, Tata Cliq chooses the kind of products that is allowed for sale on its platform.
Tata Cliq will also allow customers to shop online, and get products delivered to their home or to the store nearest to them. This ensures faster after-sales services such as product exchanges and returns.
