The Buy Box favors competitively priced offers, and items priced too high may be hidden from the main page. Additionally, offers that significantly exceed the usual prices might be removed or considered as price gouging. Sellers are encouraged to use the Listing Quality Dashboard and the free Walmart Marketplace Repricer tool to maintain competitive pricing.
Continue readingeBay is updating its Streetwear authenticity process to inform both buyers and sellers about item discrepancies. Previously, the process involved authentication and listing accuracy checks, where buyers were informed of discrepancies and could choose to proceed or return the item. Starting mid-February, sellers will receive notifications through Seller Hub and email, while buyers will be notified via email and their eBay accounts. This feature, first applied to Handbags US in September 2023, will extend to additional categories and markets throughout the first half of the year.

Starting February 5, 2024, all third-party sellers in the U.S. and Canada using Amazon’s Fulfillment service can join the “Ships in Product Packaging” program, which sends products in the manufacturer’s packaging, avoiding extra Amazon packaging. Sellers who participate can also get a discount on fulfillment fees.

Continue readingI have recently been hearing about Amazon Posts, the new way in 2024 for brand-registered sellers to share unique lifestyle images and product-related content through a feed. This feed is shown on your product detail pages in the “Inspiration from this brand” section. Although the feature was introduced in Dec 2022, it appears to have evolved significantly over the last several months. In June 2023, it was introduced in the Amazon Ads console and now seems fully ready for use.
Continue readingIn January 2024, the USPS is set to implement a series of price changes for its shipping and mailing services. Filed with the Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) in late 2023, these changes include a 5.4% increase for USPS Ground Advantage™, a 5.7% rise in Priority Mail® service fees, and a 5.9% hike in Priority Mail Express® service costs. Additionally, Mailing Services will see a 2-cent increase in the price of a First-Class Mail® Forever® stamp, raising it from 66 cents to 68 cents. These adjustments, part of USPS’s “Delivering for America” 10-year plan, aim to address financial challenges and ensure service sustainability amid ongoing inflationary pressures.
