Amazon is testing a new feature called Buy for Me that lets you buy products from other brand websites – right inside the Amazon Shopping app. If Amazon doesn’t sell an item, the app will now show results from other retailers, and you can request Amazon to buy it for you.
Here’s how it works:
You find the item in the Amazon app, tap Buy for Me, and Amazon will complete the order on the brand’s website using your encrypted details. You’ll still get order confirmation, tracking, and support—just handled by the brand, not Amazon.
This new feature uses agentic AI to securely manage the entire process for you, making checkout simple even on external sites. It’s currently in beta for some U.S. customers on iOS and Android, with plans to expand.
