As the busy holiday season approaches, Amazon is sending out reminders to help you prepare your inventory. Here’s everything you need to know about FBA capacity limits and timelines to ensure a successful peak season.

  • Send Inventory Early: Ship your FBA inventory to fulfillment centers in August and September.
  • Important Deadline: Ensure your inventory arrives by October 19, 2024, to be Prime badge-ready by Black Friday.
  • Focus on Receiving: Fulfillment centers will prioritize receiving inventory in September and October.
  • Customer Orders Priority: In November and December, the focus shifts to processing customer orders.
  • Limited Slots in November and December: There will be limited slots to accept shipments during these months.
  • Capacity Limits: Expect lower estimated capacity limits for October and November, sufficient for six months of inventory.
  • Capacity Monitor Tool: Use this tool to stay updated on capacity limits, with November limits available starting August 20.
  • No Overage Fees: Starting July 1, 2024, overage fees for storage have been eliminated.
